Fernando Lenis

  • While a student at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Ensign Lenis served as a Learning Assistant for the HBCU-UP SCALAR program and was instrumental in bringing the program to FAMU. Ensign Lenis also served as a Research Assistant for a NSF research grant using Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy to study the composition of wines and spirits He has earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics, with a minor in Naval Science, and is one of only two Physics graduates. Ensign Lenis will be reporting to Nuclear Power School in Charleston, South Carolina, to begin his career as a Nuclear Engineer on board Submarines.
